OUR 2021-2022 TEEN BOARD
HAS RAISED A LOT OF MONEY THIS YEAR!

Our teen board members have been working hard on their fundraising campaigns over the last 12 months; whether they asked family and friends, used social media, sold merchandise at their schools, hosted food stands at sporting events, they have collectively raised: $64,504!

We also had a anonymous donation of $15,000 that went towards their goal for this school year ~

So the grand total raised from June 2021 to June 2022 was:

$79,504!

WAY TO GO!

Bowling at Pinheads in February!

RUNWAY FOR RILEY AT
UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL!

Chaired by Gabe Mervis, the Teen Board held a Runway for Riley
at University High School on April 29th.

Thanks to twenty-four models, two parents (also teachers), the school administrator’s 6 year old grandson, four boutiques (Clothes With A CauseEndeavor BoutiqueLesley Jane,
Southern Fancy), Endowment Merch and USH Spirit Wear, it was a resounding success
and raised nearly $3,700.

A big thank you to La Margarita for providing food at the end of the show!

WITH SUMMER...IT MEANS INTERNS!

Jess Cooper

Khloe Young

We are excited because this summer we don’t have just one….we have two interns!
And they are past Teen Board Members, which makes it even better!

Meet Jess Cooper and Khloe Young!

Jess is a student at Indiana University Bloomington studying Nonprofit Management and Leadership with a double major in Social Work. She graduated from Carmel High School in 2021, where she first discovered the endowment at the annual “Runway for Riley” event as a freshman. She instantly fell in love with the cause and wanted to be a part of it. Being diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and being treated at Riley in 2019, she felt even more connected with the cause. She served on the 2020-2021 teen board, and has continued her involvement with the endowment ever since. At IU, she is the Education Chair for the Hospital Relations committee of Indiana University Dance Marathon, and Vice President of Adventures for A Kid Again Indiana University Chapter. In the future, she hopes to continue her work in the Nonprofit world and working with Pediatric Oncology patients.

Khloe is a student at the University of Dayton studying political science and pre-law. She graduated from Franklin Central High school in 2021 and initially got involved with the endowment her sophomore year of high school. She served on the teen board from 2019-2021 and loved being part of a group that is dedicated to improving pediatric cancer research, since she has had friends who have also spent time on the oncology floor at Riley. At UD Khloe is a peer educator helping students identify unsafe and unhealthy relationship dynamics, along with being a member of Best Buddies. In the future she plan to pursue a legal career in the nonprofit sector.

WE'RE WORKING ON A NEW FUNDRAISING GALA

Pink Balloon at Lucas Estate.

We are currently working behind the scenes with the goal of introducing a new event later this year! Will it be called Pink Balloon or is it time for a new name/new look? We’ll let you know!
