TEEN BOARD APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN!
It’s that time!
In April we said goodbye to 16 seniors and we are excited to begin the search for high school students who are interested in joining the returning nine teen board members for 2024-2025!
We are looking for creative and motivated high school students in grades 9-11.
Applications opened on Friday, June 7th and will close on Wednesday, July 3rd at 11:59PM.
We will schedule interviews in late July, with the goal of the new board being announced in August, and a start date on Sunday, September 8th.
We fully understand that summer is a busy time, so we will be sure and accommodate applicants who may be traveling during the interview schedule.
A word from our Teen Board President!
Dear Caroline Symmes Community,
My name is Lizzie Sturman, and I am so excited to serve as the Caroline Symmes Teen Board President for the 2024-2025 term. I attend Park Tudor High School and will be entering my senior year.
This will be my second year as a Teen Board member, and I am so honored to extend my role on the board and help raise money for pediatric cancer research. Last year the Teen Board made great strides and raised over $100,000! The Teen Board even had opportunities to speak to and learn from researchers at Oncoheroes and Ampath, which deepened my understanding of the need for childhood cancer research.
This year we are so excited to start our fundraising year off strong. I want to extend congratulations to the 16 graduating seniors on the Teen Board. We are excited to watch all of the exciting things you will accomplish. The Teen Board will welcome new members later this summer to help us grow as an organization with the shared goal of impacting pediatric cancer research.
Thank you all for your overwhelming support.

INDIANA MEMBERS CREDIT UNION ANNOUNCES ONE-YEAR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ENDOWMENT’s TEEN BOARD!
Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), Central Indiana’s largest credit union announced that the Endowment is the new member-nominated beneficiary for its Cancer Awareness Debit Card. This card provides members an opportunity to support a different cancer-related organization each year.
A portion of each transaction made with this card beginning on March 1, 2024 through February 28, 2025, up to $10,000 will be donated to the Endowment.
After Thorpe Miller, IMCU’s Chief Marketing Officer, attended February’s Day of Hope put on by the Teen Board, he was so impressed by them, that he wants to make sure this donation is earmarked towards their fundraising goal.
“IMCU is honored to partner with the Caroline Symmes Children’s Cancer Endowment for Pediatric Cancer Research and support their mission of raising funds for researchers” said John Newett, president and CEO of IMCU. “We always take pride in being involved with and helping great organizations and are delighted to help carry on Caroline’s legacy through this partnership.”
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the

It was the first country club in the city and among the earliest in the nation.

ON-LINE AUCTION
This year’s auction is once again being held in conjunction with the Caroline Classic; bidding will begin a week or two before the golf tournament on September 9th, and close the night of the tournament.
As the Endowment’s goal is to raise money to fund all types of childhood cancer research, the success of our online auction is important and every year it keeps growing.
Finding unique and swanky auction items can be quite a task for a small nonprofit, so we are reaching out to our donors to see if you are willing to contribute item(s) to this year’s auction or if you have any ideas on what you would like to see be a part of this year’s online auction!
DONATE TODAY!
It’s hard to believe that it is already June!
If you are able to this summer, please consider making a donation!
Each year less than 5% of the federal government’s total funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancers.
That is why it is our mission to raise money to fund research for all pediatric cancers.
You are helping us make a difference!
